Experienced. Reliable. Based right here in Brechin.
Established in 2020, Brechin Electrician was built on a simple promise: to be the local sparky you can actually rely on.
Before starting the business, I served as an Electrical Engineer in the Royal Air Force. That experience taught me that "near-enough" isn't good enough. When you are working on aircraft, everything has to be precise, safe, and checked twice. We bring that same level of military precision to your home or business.
I also served as a Retained Firefighter with the Brechin Fire Service. I have seen firsthand the devastating dangers of unsafe electrics. That is why safety isn't just a box-ticking exercise for us—it is the foundation of everything we do.
Today, we are proud to be a trusted part of the Brechin community, located near the River South Esk, helping homeowners and businesses keep their lights on and their property safe.
While James leads the work, we are committed to training the next generation of tradespeople.
We actively employ local apprentices, passing on the high standards of safety and workmanship that the business was founded on. When you hire us, you aren't just getting a job done; you are supporting local jobs, skills, and the future of trades in Angus.
We are fully accredited, giving you peace of mind that your electrical work meets the highest Scottish standards.
The Gold Standard.
Being NICEIC Approved means our work is regularly inspected by independent assessors. It allows us to self-certify our work to Angus Council Building Control, saving you time and money.
Scotland's Trade Association.
Membership guarantees we follow the strictest Code of Practice. It gives you peace of mind that we are insured, qualified, and accountable.
Up-To-Date Safety.
Electrical regulations change. We are fully qualified to BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition), ensuring your installation meets the very latest safety standards.
For Homeowners
We understand that having tradesmen in your house can be stressful. We respect your home, turn up on time, and clean up after ourselves.
From a single socket replacement to a full home rewire, you get the same level of care.
For Businesses & Farms
We speak your language. Whether it is a grain dryer breakdown during harvest or a shop refit on the High Street with a tight deadline, we have the commercial expertise to keep your business running safely.
We are based near the river in Brechin (DD9) and cover the wider Angus area.
