? What is the payback period?
With Octopus Go or similar cheap-rate tariffs, most batteries pay for themselves in 7-10 years. If you have solar panels as well, payback can be 5-7 years due to avoided export losses.
? Do I need solar panels to install a battery?
No. Many Angus homeowners install batteries without solar. They charge the battery overnight on cheap rates (9p/kWh) and use that power during expensive peak hours (25p+).

? Will my battery work with my existing solar panels?
Yes. For existing solar, we install an AC-coupled battery (like Tesla Powerwall) that sits between your meter and fuse box. It doesn't interfere with your current solar inverter.
? How long do batteries last?
Modern lithium batteries are warrantied for 10 years. They typically retain 80% capacity after 6,000 charge cycles (15-20 years of daily use). Most batteries outlive their warranty.
? Can I control the battery from my phone?
Yes. All the batteries we install (GivEnergy, Tesla, Sunsynk, etc.) have smartphone apps. You can monitor charge levels, set schedules, and see live energy flow.
? Do batteries make noise?
